Simone and Sophy have been working together since 2003. As a professional musical duo they have performed at weddings, funerals and social occasions, providing top quality classical music to enhance solemn occasions, set the atmosphere for romantic moments, and provide background music to entertain guests. They offer a professional music service that is second to none.
Sophy Greenlees
Sophy is a highly professional and experienced pianist and comes from an extremely musical family. She studied in London as both a performer and a music therapist. She now performs regularly as a freelance and part-time pianist in Southern Tasmania. She is highly sought after as an accompanist for eisteddfods and at the conservatorium. Sophy has performed extensively in musical theatre productions, worked as a repetiteur for numerous organisations and also performed with a local jazz singer on a regular basis. She has a substantial choral experience and is a former conductor of the Sing Australia choir in Hobart and other choral groups. Sophy had her first baby, Claudia, last March.
Simone Yemm
Simone started musical life learning the piccolo from her father Gordon Yemm then progressed to the flute once she was big enough to reach all the keys. She has since earned a Bachelor of Music and a Graduate Diploma of Music. Her musical career includes extensive work as a freelancer in both Canberra and Hobart, performing in a large variety of genres. After living in northern NSW and Canberra, Simone returned to Tasmania in 1997 with her husband and young family. She has taught extensively for many years and has returned to performance once again enjoying the opportunity to work professionally around Hobart. Simone is in her final semester of a Graduate Diploma in Journalism.
